Overcoming mistrust in a complex carbon market

WeAct delivers nature and technology-based carbon projects at scale and trades carbon credits in global markets. The company was ambitious about attracting global investors and partners by differentiating itself from competitors, but the founders were unsure how to navigate the market’s mistrust.

Although the carbon market was steadily growing, scepticism about the ethics of carbon projects and the transparency of carbon trading meant companies didn’t know who to trust.

The challenge for this project was to showcase WeAct’s integrity and demystify the carbon market to encourage investors, corporate clients, and the broader community to take climate action with a trusted partner.

To assure the audience that WeAct is a transparent truth-teller in a sea of companies cutting corners, we had to truly understand the market.

We gathered insights about the company, customers, competitors and culture to identify challenges and opportunities.

These insights helped us distil WeAct’s offering into three tiers—WeBuild, WePartner and WeTrade— to give partners options to decarbonise and define its perception as a high-integrity carbon partner with a trustworthy brand.

The seamless integration of an ethical visual identity with user-friendly design ensures that each initiative stands out and is easily comprehensible, effectively furthering WeAct’s mission.
